Actor Meka Srikanth is looking forward to the yet-untitled Telugu film of filmmaker Krishna Vamsi because he will be essaying a role closer to his real age and also because he will get to sport long locks.

The 45-year-old last sported long hair in 2011 Telugu actioner "Dushasana".

"There are two things that have excited me about this project. Firstly, I will be playing a role that will be apt for my age and image in the industry. Vamsi has also asked me to grow my hair quite long. I have immense faith in him and that's precisely why I teamed up again," Srikanth told IANS.

Srikanth and Krishna Vamsi last worked in 2009 Telugu action-drama "Mahatma", which turned out to be a disaster.

"I can't hold Vamsi accountable for the film's failure. For various reasons it didn't work and I'm fine with it. Moreover, I work with him because I trust him as a filmmaker and he has proved himself with several films. We can't always pinpoint at failures," he said.

The duo also worked together in 2002 Telugu blockbuster "Khadgam".

2013 was a disaster for Srikanth with three back-to-back flops "Sevakudu", "Shatruvu" and "Shadow". He, however, isn't bogged down by it.

"I'm not someone very keen about box office numbers. I'm glad that my films are providing employment for so many people. I have had my share of success as well. I guess I just have to be patient and continue working hard," he added.

Srikanth has films such as "Malligadu Marriage Bureau", "Veta" and "Mondodu" coming up for release.
