"This year, Modi's popularity is widespread throughout the nation. This year, kites with his images are popular which cost Rs 50. I have also bought one. Along with that, there are kites with pictures of Modi and Swami Vivekananda available. Modi is popular throughout the nation. He will be popular in the sky as well," said a customer, Vikram.

Not only this, shopkeepers as reaping profits as kites with images of Modi's mother have become a hit too.

"Modi is popular throughout Gujarat. Every child is recognising him and he is there on kites as well and children are buying those kites. One kite costs Rs 10. We charge Rs 50 for ten kites. We would like to see the way this kite cuts other kites just like Modi has cut other people in politics," said a shopkeeper, Kamlesh.
