Corey Anderson powers Kiwis to 159-run win against Windies in 3rd ODI

Wellington, Jan.1 : Corey Anderson's record breaking ton helped New Zealand beat West Indies by 159 runs in the third ODI on Wednesday.

Anderson hit his maiden ton in just 36 balls, beating the previous record held by Shahid Afridi, who hit a century in just 37 balls in his first innings against Sri Lanka in 1996.

His 131 off just 47 balls, and comeback man Jesse Ryder's 104 off just 51 balls helped New Zealand post an imposing total of 283 for the loss of four wickets in just 21 overs, in reply West Indies were only able to muster 124 for the loss of five wickets in their allotted 21 overs.

Ravi Rampaul was the most expensive bowler of the match, giving 64 runs in his three overs.
