One arrested in Jalpaiguri blast

Siliguri, Dec 29 : The police on Sunday said they have arrested a person in connection with the blast at Jalpaiguri town in West Bengal which left six people killed.


The arrested person was identified as Chandan Roy. He was arrested from Moynaguri area of Jalpaiguri district.

He is reportedly a former member of Kamtapur Liberation Organisation (KLO).

A local court sent Roy to 10-day police custody.

The KLO on Friday clarified they were not involved in the bomb blast incident at Paharpur Bazar nearby the BDO office in Jalpaiguri town of North Bengal on Dec 26, where six people were killed.
