Ludhiana acid attack: Bride dies

Ludhiana/Mumbai, Dec 27 : A 22-year-old bride from Punjab's Ludhiana, who sustained burn injuries in an acid attack on Dec 7, succumbed to her wounds at a hospital in Mumbai on Friday morning.

A 25-year-old youth threw acid on the woman on her wedding day as she was coming out of a beauty parlour after make up in Ludhiana on Dec 7, police said.

A senior police official said the attacker is an unidentified youth who threw the acid on the girl and escaped.

The injured girl was immediately admitted at DMC Hospital, said reports.

She was later shifted to Mumbai for treatment.
