Three killed in blast in Bengal's Jalpaiguri

Siluguri, Dec 26 : Three people were killed and six others injured when suspected Kamtapur Liberation Organisation (KLO) militants triggered a bomb blast in Jalpaiguri district of northern West Bengal Thursday evening.

"Three people have been killed. Some others are injured. The bomb was kept in a cycle," said Inspector General of Police, North Bengal, Sashikant Pujari.

The blast occurred at around 7 p.m. in Bajrapara area.

District Deputy Superintendent of Police Prabhat Chakraborty told IANS that six people were injured in the explosion. They have been admitted in Jalpaiguri District Hospital.
