West Bengal contributes 21% to Hello Tunes

Kolkata, Dec 26 : India's leading telecommunications company Bharti Airtel on Thursday released the West Bengal specific findings of this year's Airtel Mobitude survey - an annual survey reflecting the 'mobile attitude' of the Indian masses.

According to the findings this year, the mobile phone is increasingly becoming popular as a medium for consumption of devotional content. Durga Puja and Navartras trended the most of the mobile phone with customers accessing content like bhajans, aartis, Durga strotram and pooja vidhis.

In the entertainment space, West Bengal contributed 21% to the overall Hello Tune subscriptions and the song 'Shabari Kopale Sukh Saina' trended as the most downloaded Bengali Hello Tune across India and West Bengal.

Airtel's flagship initiative to make Facebook accessible on USSD platform witnessed immense popularity amongst masses - a whopping 93% existing customer base of this service are feature phone users.
