ICC WC T20 to be shifted to India?

New Delhi, Dec 25 : Amid the ongoing political turmoil in Bangladesh, the ICC World T20 might be shifted to India, media reports said.

Bangladesh is scheduled to host the tournament in March next year.

The matches were are scheduled to be played in Mirpur, Chittagong and Sylhet.

Kolkata's Eden Gardens and harkhand State Cricket Association International stadium in Ranchi have been kept on stand-by in case the tournament is shifted to India. If the tournament is shifted to India.

"Eden Gardens in Kolkata and the Jharkhand State Cricket Association International stadium in Ranchi have been kept on stand-by," NDTV reported quoting sources.

"A decision on whether to shift base or retain Bangladesh as the hosts for the tournament is expected to be taken soon when the Asian Cricket Council and the organisers of the tournament meet in Dhaka," the news channel reported.

West Indies are the current World T20 champions.
