Steve Martin apologizes for racist tweet

Washington, Dec 24 : Steve Martin has apologized for his offensive tweet saying that it was highly inappropriate.

The 68-year-old actor had tweeted to his followers that they should submit their grammar there, ABC News reported.

When one user asked if this is how one spelled "Lasonia", he replied that it depended if he was in an African-American neighborhood or at an Italian restaurant.

After the fans lashed out at him, the 'Father of the Bride' star deleted the tweet quickly and apologized to his followers.
