RIL appoints Adil as Independent Director

Mumbai, Dec 20 : The Board of Directors of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) on Friday announced the appointment of Adil Zainulbhai as an Independent Director on the Board with immediate effect.

With this the Board will expand to 14 members with 8 members being Independent Directors.

Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director, Reliance Industries Limited said, "Adil is undoubtedly one of the finest consulting minds in the world and we are delighted to have him join
our Board. I look forward to his contributions in strengthening Reliance and preparing the organization for sustained high growth."

Zainulbhai, till recently the Chairman, McKinsey India, has had a very distinguished 34 year career, consulting with a variety of Global and Indian Corporations and their Boards.

He has been very closely associated with several government-sponsored projects in areas like energy, urbanization and inclusive growth, apart from his keen interest and efforts in community and social causes.
