Methodist school hosts Christmas carnival

Kolkata, Dec 20 : Tollywood actress Rituparna Sengupta on Thursday visited the Christmas carnival hosted by Methodist School, Dankuni.


Also present at the occasion were former Bollywood playback singer Vijay Benedict and West Bengal Minister in Charge (MIC) of disaster management, fire & emergency services and civil defence, Javed Ahmed Khan.

Norton Emmanuel, principal and secretary of the Methodist School said, "The idea of a Christmas carnival is exciting this time of the year. A Christmas carnival can help everyone get in the mood for the season."

He said, "This effort is to get everyone together so that they can begin to feel the effects of the season and enjoy some fun and games with friends and neighbors at the same time."

Javad Khan said, "This programme remind me of my student life. I and Norton Emmanuel were classmates from St. Xaviers college."

"On behalf of the Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee, we wish you all a very happy merry Christmas and new year in advance," he added.

Rituparna Sengupta said, "This programme sent me back to my school days memory. Feeling nostalgic. I brought my two and a half year old daughter with me as it is a good school programme."

She said, "Enjoy this winter flavours and be focused and positive in your aim."

Javed Khan said, "I would have missed a lot if I have not come here."
