Chandigarh: Cops gangrape minor

Chandigarh, Dec 20 : A 17-year-old was allegedly gangraped by four police constables for two-and-a-half-months in Chandigarh city, said reports on Friday.

According to reports, the victim, a resident of Khudda Lahora area, sought police help to resolve a fight between her father and brother.

One of the accused lured her into accompanying him and raped her. His three other colleagues reportedly joined in and took turns to rape her.

The incident came to light when the girl's brother lodged a complaint with the local councillor.

"The girl's brother sought my help to register a police complaint against the police," said Municipal Corporation Chandigarh Councillor Saurabh Joshi.

The Chandigarh Police have reportedly suspended the four constables.
