Oil price of Indian Basket up marginally

New Delhi, Dec 19 : The international crude oil price of Indian Basket as computed/published on Thursday by Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas went up marginally to US$ 107.42/per barrel (bbl) on Dec 18.

This was higher than the price of US$ 107.35/bbl which prevailed on the previous trading day of Dec 17.

In rupee terms also, the crude oil price remained almost stagnant at Rs 6651.45 per bbl on Dec 18 as compared to Rs 6651.41 /bbl on Dec 17.

This was due to marginal rupee appreciation almost off-setting the impact of increase in price in dollar terms.

Rupee-dollar exchange rate informed on Dec 18 to Rs 61.92/US$ against Rs 61.96/US$ on previous trading day of Dec 17.
