Arjun, Jayashree strike Bulls eye

Kolkata, Dec 18 : Shooter Arjun Das has created history for Bengal by winning first ever medal for the state in the 25 meter Rapid fire pistol event in the ongoing 57th National Shooting Championship 2013 in New Delhi.

As per news received from the team management last night he won silver in Junior Civilian category with a score of 520.

Junior International shooter Jayashree Das has continued her fine show in the championships by winning three medals. With a score of 611.9 she won gold in Junior Civilian Championship Category, silver in Junior National Championship Category and bronze in Senior Civilian Championship Category on the same day.

The 57th National Shooting Championship 2013 is currently going on in the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range at Tughlakabad, New Delhi ( December 11-24).

Altogether 58 shooters from West Bengal are participating in Rifle, Pistol and Shot Gun events in the competition.
