Bigg Boss: Armaan Kohli granted bail

Lonavla, Dec 17 : Bigg Boss Season 7 contestant Armaan Kohli has been granted bail after he was arrested by the Lonavla Police for allegedly assaulting fellow contestant Sofia Hayat inside the house, reports said.

The arrest was done after British singer-actress Sofia Hayat filed a complaint against Kohli.

Kohli was booked under sections 324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means), 504 (intentional insult to provoke breach of peace), 509 (word, gesture or act intended to outrage the modesty of a woman), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 354 a (sexual harassment) of the Indian Penal Code.

Kohli allegedly hit Hayat on the face with a mop she was using to wipe the windscreen of a car during a task on the show.

"Omg! I just had a call now....arman Kohli arrested from bb house!" Hayat tweeted following the arrest.

"Justice is being done thankyou to India police," she said.

Sofia was evicted from the reality show last week.

She lodged a complaint against Kohli at Santacruz police on Thursday.

After registering a case, the Santacruz Police later transferred the case to the Lonavla Police.

"Santacruz police gave been very professional and courteous," she had earlier tweeted.
