Tennis: Rishab beats Kingshuk

Kolkata, Dec 16 : Unseeded Rishabh Shah blanked 3rd seeded Kingshook Mullick in the Boys Singles under 16 pre quarter final match on Monday, at the ongoing 6th Bengal Sub Junior State Tennis Championship 2013, been held at the synthetic courts of the Bengal Tennis Association Complex.

The winners of all the singles events are presented the prestigious Manik Goswami Memorial Challenge Trophies.

Rishabh Shah took less than an hour to outclass 3rd seeded Mullick by a straight 4-2, 4-0 victory. He will face Shashank Koenger in the quarter finals on the Boys Singles Under 16 draw.

Second seeded Kemp O'Brien of the Boys under 16 draw was stretched to the limits by unseeded Shashwast Kabi as the former struggled to reach the quarters with a close 4-1, 4-5(4), 10-6 win.

Top seeded Arghya Das did not face any trouble, while surpassing Suyash Goenka with a convincing 4-0, 4-1 win.
