Why the sudden compromise on Lokpal Bill, asks AAP leader Kumar Vishwas

Ghaziabad, (Uttar Pradesh), Dec. 15 : Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Kumar Vishwas said on Sunday asked the reason for the sudden compromise on the Lokpal Bill which compromises on three crucial issues.

Three crucial issues have been removed from the new Lokpal Bill. There was a compromise where the government lied to the people. One of them asked for a stronger Lokpal in the centre but Anna is willing to compromise with that all of a sudden. We have been delaying it for so many years already

We respect Anna a lot but the Lokpal bill is not Anna's, Kejriwal's or mine. It is of each and every person of the nation who has stood up for it. Parties come and go but it is time to think for the welfare of the nation

Over the past year, India has been transfixed by a campaign led by Anna Hazare to force the government to create an ombudsman, which would prosecute corrupt politicians and bureaucrats.

Hazare's initial hunger strike brought millions of sympathizers out on streets and forced the government into a series of U-turns.

Hazare said that miserable performance of the ruling Congress party was a result of backing out to bring the Lokpal bill.

However, many political experts believe that had the Congress brought the Jan Lokpal bill then they would have not failed so badly in the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections nor would they have faced electoral drubbing in Goa and Punjab assembly polls, or the recent Assembly elections for Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
