"The police served liquor to Sanjay Dutt inside the Yerwada Central Jail in Pune," said Tawde.
Dutt is all set to walk out of jail once again after being granted a 30-day parole on grounds that his wife Maanyata is unwell, she was seen partying in Mumbai on Dec 5.
Maanyata was spotted wearing a yellow top, rugged blue jeans and funky glasses at the screening of Shahid Kapoor-Sonakshi Sinha starrer 'R..Rajkumar' on Dec 5.
She was caught on camera by journalists waiting outside the movie theatre.
Dutt's parole application was sanctioned on Dec 6 by Pune's Divisional Commissioner, reports said.
However, Dutt has to report to Khar police station for two days in a week during his parole.
On Oct 1, the actor was released for 14 days on medical grounds, which was later granted with an extension of another two weeks of his leave for treatment of his leg.
The Supreme Court in July this year had rejected Dutt's curative petition on his punishment. The curative petition was filed after a review petition of his imprisonment was dismissed.
Dutt earlier surrendered in a Mumbai court on May 16 and went to jail.
He had to surrender after the Supreme Court ruled out any extension of surrender time to him in the 1993 Mumbai blasts case.
On May 10, giving a blow to Dutt, the Supreme Court rejected his plea that sought review of its March 21 decision where he was convicted.
The Supreme Court on Mar 21 announced its verdict on Dutt for illegal arms possession during the Mumbai bombings that had killed 257 people in 1993 in the nation's financial hub.
On Mar 12, 1993, twelve coordinated blasts in Bombay Stock Exchange, Air India Building at Nariman Point and hotels Sea Rock and Juhu Centaur resulted in death of at least 257 people and injury to more than 700.
It was alleged that the blasts were the instruments to avenge the demolition of the Babri mosque in Ayodhya in December 1992 and were allegedly conspired by underworld don Dawood Ibrahim (believed to be hiding in Pakistan now) and two other terrorists-Tiger Memon and his brother Yakub Memon.
