The fifth edition of Auto Serve 2012, a three-day exhibition on automotive after market business held by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), will kick start Nov 16 here, said an organiser Tuesday.
Speaking to reporters, R. Dinesh, chairman, Auto Serve 2012 and joint managing director, TVS Sundram Iyendar and Son Ltd, said: "CII through Auto Serve forum is providing a ready to use marketing and educational platform for the growing automotive after-market business in India."
According to him, Auto Serve 2012 was being held at a crucial time when the automotive industry was currently witnessing a slowdown.
"With this background, Auto Serve 2012 would demonstrate to industry and other stakeholders on enhancing the profitability in the automotive after-market business by showcasing state-of-the-art technologies and solutions," he said.
According to him, the Indian automotive after-market is expected to grow to around USD 9.4 billion by 2015 from its present estimated size of USD 3.7 billion.
With the population of automobiles in India exceeding 110 million and growing at the rate of 10-12 percent per annum, the automotive after-market business in India is poised for an immense growth, Dinesh added.
He said over 100 exhibitors will be showcasing their products and services at the Auto Serve 2012 which is expected to attract around 20,000 trade and business visitors.
