Former Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa today attracted eight Ministers and a sizeable number of legislators and MPs to the luncheon meeting he convened here, signalling an imminent split in the state BJP post December 10 when he will launch a regional outfit 'Karnataka Janata Party' at Haveri.
Mr Yeddyurappa asserted that his decision to form a new party stands and there won't be any change in it irrespective of repeated feelers from the parent body.
He declared that he was not interested to topple the Shettar Government.
However, he said those who have faith in him may join his party.
Replying to a question, he said, 'it is left to the Legislators and Ministers whether to join my new party by resigning from the BJP.'
