Prohibitory orders imposed in Hyderabad
In view of communal tension continuing between two groups in Sabsimandi under the limits of Kulsumpura police station, prohibitory orders have been imposed for three days from today in the city.
Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anurag Sharma in a notification late last night said the orders under Section 144 of CrPC would come into force from today.
With a view to maintain public order, peace and tranquility it was decided to prohibit the assembly of 5 or more persons in the limits of Kulsumpura and Tappachabutra, police stations of West Zone, which is likely to create religious animosity or hatred between different communities or individuals or is likely to cause disturbance to public peace and order in here the city limits.
Mr Sharma also informed that any person violating the above orders shall be liable for prosecution under the law.
Police officers and personnel on duty, military personnel on duty, Home Guards on duty, Bonafide funeral processions and are duly exempted from the operation of this order, the notification added.
