Flood water recedes in affected areas
The situation in the flood affected areas is limping back to normalcy in the three affected districts as water started receding even as thousands of people are still in relief centres.
Though the flood water was receding in the affected areas, several residential colonies were mired in slush and the victims are hesitating to go back to their homes, officials said.
Several localities including Bhavani Puram, Vidyadharapuram, Kabhela, some residential areas in Singh Nagar and Payakapuram, New Rajarajeswri Pet are still in water, even as water level receded consideraby.
The victims told reporters that they could not go to their homes immediately as they got mired in slush, besides there was no power supply in the areas.
