Omung Kumar returns with 'Just Ek Minute'
Whether or not you were an avid TV buff back in the 90s, you possibly couldn't have missed 'Just Ek Minute' on Zee TV, a game show, that challenged contestants to complete all kinds of wacky tasks in 1 minute.
Its charming host Omung Kumar firmly secured a special place in the hearts of viewers with his easygoing screen presence and comic antics.
So, on the occasion of Zee TV completing 20 glorious years of entertaining India this year, when the idea was to bring back some of the most iconic golden oldies of Zee TV, it was the 'Ek Minute' man himself who topped everyone's wish-list.
Fans of Omung Kumar can look forward to Zee TV's Diwali special entertainment extravaganza 'Zee Ki Beesvi Diwali' slated to air on Saturday.
The show will be packed with smashing dance performances by the most popular Zee stars, a group act by the brat-pack of DID l'il Masters, songs by Sa Re Ga Ma Pa's most beloved singers, comedy gags that will make you guffaw and of course, Omung Kumar's 'Just Ek Minute' games.
At the shoot of this Diwali special, as Omung took to the stage, not having aged at all, looking exactly like he did in the 90s, the audience sprang to their feet in a standing ovation as the man took to the stage.
Omung brought the house down as he invited fans to play the famous 'Ek Minute' games alongside some of Zee TV's most popular stars.
At his energetic best, Omung filled the stage with his personal brand of energy and fun! Be it a Zee star or an audience member, no one was spared from being a part of his fun and frolic.
To kick-start the masti, Omung called heartthrob Ashish Sharma (Ranveer of Rab Se Sohna Isshq) and host for the evening Rithvik Dhanjani (Arjun of Pavitra Rishta) to be pitted against each other in a one minute balloon bursting competition with a twist.
Instead of bursting the balloon with a pin or their hands, the actors had to sit on the balloon to burst it.
The minute the buzzer sounded, what ensued was a mad scramble across the stage as both Ashish and Rithvik tried their best to outdo each other.
Balloons went flying on stage as they were tossed, kicked and thrown in various attempts to collect them.
In the end, Ashish Sharma walked away with the trophy while poor Rithvik was pacified with a feeding bottle much to his embarrassment.
