The Andhra Pradesh High Court today rejected the bail plea of IRS official K V Brahamanda Reddy in the disproportionate assets case of Kadapa MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Judge Govindrajulu passed the orders after hearing arguments from both the sides.
The court supported the argument of the CBI wich said if the court grants bail to Reddy, who had played a key role in Vanpic land issue, he would influence the investigation.
The investigating agency also said as the investigation is under important stage, bail should not be granted to him.
However, Reddy through his lawyer said, "I worked in Andhra Pradesh for few months on deputation and was a railway official in another state. Hence, he asked the Judge on how he would tamper the evidence?" The IRS officer also brought to the notice of the Judge that a Cabinet minister and two IAS officers involved in the Vanpic case were outside and made to go scot free.
