The Department of Banking Technology, School of Management of the Pondicherry University, along with Cyber Society of India, today organised a two-day national workshop on 'Cyber Crimes and Cyber Security in Banks' here.
The workshop would deal with the technology available to thwart internet crimes in banking operations and its use by banks.
Mr A John Rose, Assistant Commissioner of police, Bank Frauds and Cyber Crimes Wing, Tamil Nadu Police, inaugurated the workshop. Dr M Ramadass, Director of Studies and Dean, School of Management presided over the function.
The workshop will delibrate on issues such as 'Cyber Crimes in Banks-Techno Legal issues and IT Laws', Investigation of Banking Crimes and Digital Evidences,Cyber Crimes in ATMs and Credit Card security among other things.
