Bollywood actresses steal the thunder at Mumbai fashion show
Bollywood actresses Celina Jaitley and Malaika Arora Khan left the audiences spellbound as they flounced down the ramp in exquisite attire designed by some of the best couturiers at a fashion show held here over the weekend.
Jaitley, who made a public appearance after a hiatus, looked resplendent in black attire. She was thrilled to walk the ramp for one of her favourites, Neeta Lulla.
"Today is an important day for me. I have made a public appearance after a long time and I walked the ramp for one of my favourite and talented designers of India, Neeta Lulla. There is one important thing that on the occasion of Diwali, I am walking the ramp with female counterparts, each one of them has achieved something brilliant in their life," she said.
Lulla's collection was a blend of tradition and modernity, with black dominating the line.
Meanwhile, Indian tennis player, Sania Mirza, said it was a lot of fun to walk the ramp, as there was no pressure.
She sashayed down the ramp for designer duo Shantanu and Nikhil, who are known for their western attire.
"It was very different than what I usually do; I had a lot of fun. It helped, because I had no pressure from this side, because they are my friend, so they are like, just have fun. So, that's what I was doing," said Mirza.
Renowned designer Vikram Phadnis chose Bollywood actress Malaika Arora Khan as the showstopper, who sizzled on the ramp in traditional attire.
