Prince Harry to Skype video call Royal family at Xmas

Prince Harry, who will take on the Taliban on Christmas Day, will join his family's celebrations in a Skype video call from war-torn Afghanistan.

The 28-year-old will use the internet service to speak to the Queen and his loved ones who will see him on a plasma screen in the billiards room at the Sandringham estate, Norfolk, the Sun reported.

The call - which will last just a few minutes - was the idea of his brother William, 30.

"The family are very anxious for Harry. It was William who came up with the idea so Harry could exchange greetings," a source told the publication.

"He is putting his life on the line, like all servicemen out there, and the family share the same anxieties as everyone with a loved one in Afghanistan."

Harry is a captain on his second tour of duty in the war zone. He also spent Christmas there in 2007.
