The much-talked Sound and Light show, which has been attracting more tourists as well as domestic crowd to the Palace, is finally getting ready to be presented in Hindi and English versions also.
At present it is presented only in Kannada.
The Palace Board sources told UNI that the Hollywood actor Om Puri has agreed to provide background voice for both Hindi and English versions of the show. The recording was expected to begin at the end of this month or in first week of December.
The Mysore Palace Board, which was in search of an alternative voice after Amitabh Bachchan refused to lend his voice for the 'Sound and Light' show at the last moment, zeroed in on actor Om Puri. Apart from Om Puri, many other Bollywood actors are expected to lend their voices for the show.
The English and Hindi versions of the script have been handed over to Scion of the royal family Srikanta Datta Narasimharaja Wadiyar for scrutiny. Once he gives the nod, the recording process would be taken up immediately.
The show, produced at a cost of Rs 2.5 crore, is handled by Innovative Lighting Institute, owned by actress Jayanthi's son Krishna Kumar.
The Institute has successfully implemented the Sound and Light show at Andaman.
