Puducherry Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Police registered a case against a student from Mahe Region of the union territory for obtaining fake residence certificate to study MBBS here.
According to police here today, Subina was selected for MBBS course in 2006 through the centralised admission committee of the government in 2006 under Mahe Quota and completed her studies.
One person approached the Vigilance police with a complaint that Subina was not from Mahe and had obtained a fake residence certificate to pursue her studies.
Chief Secretary, who is the Vigilance Chief ordered to enquire into the case which revealed that neither Subina nor her family was residing in Mahe for the last five years and had obtained a fake certificate.
Following this a case was registered against her and Mahe Thazildar Gopalan.
