There was no solace from the court for mining tycoon and former Karnataka Minister G Janardhana Reddy as a CBI court in the city today extended the judicial custody of Mr Reddy and three other accused to November 26.
Mr Reddy was arrested on September 5 last year in illegal mining case associated with Associated Mining Corporation (AMC) owned by him and his wife Lakshmi Aruna.
CBI Court Judge B M Angadi extended the judicial custody.
Mr Reddy, who was to be produced before the court through video conferencing from Chanchalguda Jail in Hyderabad where he was shifted in connection with the Obulapuram Mining Case (OMC), was not produced due to technical glitch.
His associate Mehfuz Ali Khan was also not produced before the court as he was in police custody in Hyderabad in connection with the same case.
However, two others -- then Bellary District Deputy Conservator of Forests S Muthaiah and the Then Director Mines and Geology S P Raju, were produced through video conferencing from Parappana Agrahara Central Jail in the city.
The same court, earlier, had rejected the bail pleas of the accused earlier.
Subsequently Mr Reddy had moved the High Court for bail and his plea is still pending before it.
