Krishna wants to rest before entering Karnataka politics
Former External Affairs Minister and senior Congress Leader S M Krishna distanced himself from Karnataka politics stating that he wants rest since he has travelled some 8000 km.
Addressing the waiting press after his arrival from Delhi, he said that ' I am very tired and want some rest.
I cannot speak about State politics at present. Will call you soon.' Earlier, Mr Krishna was given a rousing reception by State Congress workers who took him in a open jeep procession.
Mr Krishna was expected to play a vital role in bringing back Congress to power in the next General Election to the Legislative Assembly due in 2013.
Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President Dr G Parameshwar, Opposition leaders in the Legislative Assembly and Council Siddaramaiah and S R Patil were among the other Congress leaders who were present at the Airport to receive Mr Krishna on his arrival.
