Trains diverted due to cyclone

Southern Railway diverted several trains due to cyclonic weather, heavy rainfall and wind along the coastal districts.

A release here said the following trains were diverted to run via chord line of Vriddhachalam, Ariyalur and Tiruchirapalli. Train No.16735 Chennai Egmore - Tiruchendur Chendur Express, Train No.16736 Tiruchendur - Chennai Egmore Chendur Express, Train No.16702 Rameswaram - Chennai Egmore Express and Train No.16701 Chennai Egmore - Rameswaram Express.

Train No.16179 / 16180 Chennai Egmore - Mannargudi - Chennai Egmore Mannai Expresses were diverted via Villupuram, Vriddhachalam, Tiruchi, Thanjavur, and Nidamangalam.

Train No.16175 / 16176 Chennai Egmore - Karaikal - Chennai Egmore Expresses were diverted via. Villupuram, Vriddhachalam, Tiruchi, Thanjavur, Nidamangalam and Tiruvarur. Train No. 56877/ 56878 Villupuram - Mayiladuthurai - Villupuram passengers were fully cancelled on Wednesday.

Train No. 56514 Bangalore City - Nagore passenger was partially cancelled between Vriddhachalam and Nagore on Wednesday.

Train No. 56513 Nagore - Bangalore City passenger will be partially cancelled between Nagore and Vriddhachalam on November 1, a Southern Railway press release here said.

The normal life of the people were limbing back to normalcy slowly, as sun came out with its rays in the entire Cauveri Delta region and the water which were logged in the fields as well the residential areas werer strated to drain.
