Rupee recovers by 16 paise to 53.81 against US Dollar

The Rupee strenngthened today by 16 paise to 53.81 against the US Dollar due to selling of the greenback by banks and exporters, dealers at the Interbank Foreign Exchange said.
The local unit, which had weakened by 4 paise in the morning sesson, recovered today by 16 paise.
The rupee registered the day's high and low at 54.20 and 53.78 per US Dollar respectively, with a major fluctuation.
