'Will love to foray into Malayalam film, TV': Sudha Chandran
Ace dancer, film and TV personality Sudha Chandran today expressed her willingness to foray into Malayalam silver screen and Television arena.
"I am interested to work in Malayalam film and Television arena but response so far was grim," Sudha, who enthralled audience world over by her performance with a Jaipur foot after loosing one of her legs in an accident, said.
Sudha Chandran, who has acted in more than 30 films, including 'Nachhe Mayuri,' narrated her own life story while talking at a meet-the-press programme organised by the Calicut Press Club.
On reality shows, Sudha, a judge of such a programme by Amrita TV, she said it provided ample opportunities for young talents to horn their skills.
"Reality shows are a right platform for the budding talents who could be best dancers and playback singers by utilizing the opportunities provided by the small screen.
She also appreciated encouragement given by parents to their wards attending such programmes throughout the state.
Majority of them were hailing from lower middle class families but still the parents were accompanying their wards to such events and extending all support, he said.
Sudha said, "I advised the participants to perform well in a way to pay back them appropriately, adding that is want they want." The acclaimed artist said dance had become a profession through which the performer also earned well now. "I used to tell people, who who ask me Sudha you are a dancer but what is your profession, that dance is my profession and it is my first love," she said.
Expressing happiness over actor and dancer Manju Warrier staging a come back, Sudha said she was a fan of the acclaimed artist.
On certain actors quiting the field after marriage, she said it was their personal decision.
"I have been dancing before and after marriage. I had no compulsion from the family," she said, adding she expected more reform.
