TV actor Ashish Sharma gets engaged
Much to the disappointment of his women fans, Ashish Sharma, the hunky lead of Zee TV's Rab Se Sohna Isshq, got engaged to his long time lady love Archana Taide in a private ceremony this week.
After a few years of being together, the couple decided to seal the deal and declare their commitment to one another in a small engagement ceremony among family and friends in Mumbai.
Their co-stars and friends from the industry too put in an appearance as they wished the happy couple.
The night clearly belonged to the smitten twosome who clearly had eyes only for each other.
Though the couple has been planning their engagement for some months now, all plans were put on hold when Ashish was roped in to play the lead on Rab Se Sohna Isshq.
The new role and the ensuing three month long shoot in London did not deter these love birds from keeping the romance alive even across the miles.
While Ashish was busy shooting, Archana made it a point to surprise her beau with an impromptu trip to London to bring in his birthday.
Ashish too managed to take some days off the shoot to take her shopping and show Archana the magic of London's romantic streets, bistros, museums, galleries, restaurants and more.
From all the updates on her social media pages and the news from the unit in London, the birthday bash was very memorable indeed as the cast and crew partied into the wee hours of the night.
"Right from the very start of the show, it has been very clear to everyone who has seen them together that Ashish and Archana are the perfect couple!" said Ashish's co-star Kanan Malhotra as he wished the couple for their engagement.
"Whether it is on location or off the sets, the two of them are very much in love and we wish them loads of happiness for the future!" he said.
While Ashish currently enjoys huge popularity among the women folk as the macho Ranveer of Rab Se Sohna Isshq, his lady love Archana is also all set to join the Zee family as she has been roped in to play a role in the soon to be launched 'Qubool Hai'.
