After recording a comfortable victory in their previous game against Assam, Hyderabad girls suffered a narrow defeat in a low-scoring match against Mumbai in a Group B match of the All Indian women's under-19 one-day super league at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium here today.
Mumbai won the closely contested tie by two wickets.
In another match, Andhra thumped Maharashtra by seven wickets to pocket five points in a Group A match.
Electing to bat, Hyderabad were bundled out for 98 runs in 48.5 overs. Sneha Morey who starred with 98 runs in the previous match was the highest scorer with 20 runs. Humaira Kazi and Sarika Koli took two wickets each for Mumbai.
In reply, Mumbai batswomen too were in trouble with Praneesha and Arundhati Reddy being among wickets. Sarika Koli saved the blushes for the visitors with a gritty 26-run knock which steered Mumbai to the win.
Making amends for their earlier loss, Andhra came back hard at Maharashtra to register a seven-wicket win, and pocket the decisive bonus point.
