Ford gets into quick lane to service its cars
Ford Motor Company Monday unveiled its quick lane facility here to service its cars without an appointment and waiting period for its customers.
"The 'Metro Ford Quick Lane' service provides a customer-friendly channel for maintenance and repairs of our cars without appointment or waiting even beyond operating hours on workdays and Saturdays," Ford executive director John Cooper told reporters at a preview of the facility here.
The facility offers a range of services, including oil and filter changes and quick checks on brake systems, tyres, suspension systems, exhaust systems, tune-ups and alignments by factory-trained technicians and company's support staff.
Equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure, the 10,000 square feet service centre can service 35 cars a day.
"We have introduced the option of speedy, no-appointment necessary service during hours that fit into busy schedules of our customers," Cooper said.
The Chennai-based Ford's Indian subsidiary is also expanding its nationwide dealership network to facilitate greater customer convenience and reach.
"We plan to have 500 sales and service centres by 2015 from 241 outlets currently in 127 cities across the country," Cooper said.
Ford models include Figo, Ford Classic, Endeavour and Fiesta.
