Force launches new Traveller
Force Motors will be investing over Rs.1000 crore over the next two to three years to come out with new vehicles, including a multi utility vehicle and variants of itssports utility vehicle.
The investment would also be on a all new plant at its Pithampurunit in Madhya Pradesh with an investment of around Rs.500 crore for the MUV which is expected to roll out next year, CompanyPresidentand Chief Operating Officer N K Rattan told newsmen here today.
The premium MUV would be launched under license from Daimler AG.
He launched the company's latest offering a Traveller026 bus with a seating capacity of 26 passengers, the only one of its kind in the world, according to the Company.
Mr Rattan said Force 26 had several new technologies to its credit, including the world's first largest monocoque panel van.
With a market of over 20,000 units a year, the company aimed toproduce around 1000 units this year and ramp up production to over5000 vehicles from next year on wards.
For the first time a light commercial vehicle in India would havea dual mass fly wheel technology in Force 26, he said adding thatit was the only vehicle of its class to adopt cathode electro deposition dip painting process for primer application, thus offering the highest levels of rust production.
The vehicle is priced around Rs.11 lakhs.
