Brahmins hold 'rasta roko' against Telugu film Denikaina Ready
Before the agitations demanding the ban of Telugu film, 'A woman in Brahmanism', came to halt, another controversial Telugu film, 'Denikaina Ready', has angered large number of Brahimns and forced them to organise a 'rast roko' at Bradipet flyover bridge here today.
The Brahmins, belonging to various associations, organised the rasta roko at the busy Bradipet flyover bridge here demanding demanding the removal of some objectionable scenes, which hurt the sentiments of the community.
They also burnt the effigy symbolising the Censor Board and government.
Talking to media, Brahman Seva Sangh Convener Sirivarapu Sridhar said under Section 51/A degrading any community or showing them in a humiliating manner was an offence.
He demanded the objectionable scenes in the movie, 'Denikaina Ready' to be removed and warned of intensifying agitation and approach court against the film if the scenes were not removed.
