Public sctor lender Bank of Maharashtra today reported a growth of 65.32 per cent in its net profit to Rs 166.01 crore for the second quarter of current financial year.
The bank had posted a net profit of Rs 100.42 crore during the corresponding period last fiscal.
During July-September period of 2012-13, total income stood at Rs 2,434.09 crore against Rs 1,945.01 crore during Q2 of previous fiscal, an increase of 25.15 per cent.
Its operating profit for the quarter under review increased to Rs 472.88 crore as against Rs 425.04 crore for Q2 of FY12, recording a growth of 11.26 per cent.
As on September 30, 2012, total business of the bank stood at Rs 1,51,320.02 crore.
The total business increased by 25.81 per cent from Rs 1,20,280.94 crore to Rs 1,51,320.02 crore during the quarter under review.
