"Don't marry into families without toilet "
Union Rural Development Minister Jairam Ramesh has urged women that they should not marry into families that do not have toilets in their houses.
"Don't get married in a house where there is no toilet," Ramesh said while addressing people at Khajuri village on Sunday.
"You should take the decision to get married only after looking that there is a toilet at your groom's home," he said.
Slamming unsanitory conditions in Indian trains, he said: "50,000 coaches run on tracks daily. There are four toilets in one coach. In case a person is found defecating in open then he will be arrested and sent to jail."
Ramesh earlier this year said the Indian Railway is the 'largest open toilet in the world'.
