Taking strict action on erring government officials, Uttar Pradesh government has initiated action against four officials for their failure to dispose of complaints during Tehsil Diwas.
The officers who faced the government ire are Social Welfare Officer (Allahabad) and two Tehsildars of Farrukhabad (sadar) and Gorakhpur (sadar) respectively and In-charge, Bilari in Moradabad.
A Government spokesman said in a statement issued here today officials were asked to attend Tehsil diwas regularly and were asked to dispose of cases immediately.
"But the fact came to light that officers did not obey the orders. Performance of Tehsildar of Farrukhabad was pathetic. Tehsildar, Gorakhpur did not clear the files and in three months pendency rose to 161. Government decided to take action against these officials for their apathy," the spokesman said.
Similarly, the performance of Social Welfare Officer, Allahabad and In-charge Bilari was not found upto the mark.
