Karwar receives 10 cm rainfall

Monsoon was active over Coastal Karnataka; however was weak over North Interior Karnataka.

Rainfall occurred at a few places over North Interior Karnataka and at isolated placesover South Interior Karnataka.

Rainfall amounts (cm): Karwar 10; Shirali, Chincholi 8 each; Honavar, Manki, Bimalkhed, Humnabad 7 each. Gersoppa 6; Kollur, Sulepet 5 each; Gokarna, Kumta, Chitaguppa, Manthala 4 each; Aurad, Bhalki, Bidar 3 each; Bhatkal, Kadra, Manchikeri, Jagalbet, Khanapur, Londa, Bableshwar, Santhapur, Dabka, Basavakalyan, Bidar PTO, Kalgi, Kottigehara 2 each.

Maximum temperatures changed little over the State. They were appreciably belownormal at many places over Coastal Karnataka; below normal at many places being appreciably so at a few places over North Interior Karnataka and remained normal over South Interior Karnataka. Minimum temperatures changed little over the State.

Raichur has recorded the highest maximum temperature of 31.8 degree Celsius and Chamarajanagar has recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 14.3 degree Celsius in the plains of the State.

Forecast valid until Saturday morning: Rain/thundershowers would occur at many places over Coastal Karnataka; at a few places over North Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over South Interior Karnataka.

Forecast for Bengaluru city: Partly cloudy sky. Maximum and minimum temperatures would be around 30 degree Celsius and 19 degree Celsius respectively.
