Nannayya varsity own campus to be ready next year: VC

Adi Kavi Nannayya University (AKNU) Vice-Chancellor Dr P George Victor said they would be functioning from the own campus by next year and the main buildings are nearing completion.

Speaking to press persons after declaring open the digital Library at the Aditya Degree College complex in Lakshminarayana Nagar here today, he said AKNU being six year old was now able to pick up after overcoming the teething problems and poised for full scale functioning.

Of the total ten buildings under construction four were completed and another six will be ready within four months, he said.

The government handed over 95 acres of land for the university and being developed in a phased programme.

A total of 221 degree colleges including six oriental colleges in both East and West Godavari districts are now affiliated to the AKNU. The University is now having the infrastructure and fully equipped for conducting the examinations on large scale.

Complimenting the Aditya Institutions Chairman N Sesha Reddy for developing the institutions as top ranking, the vice chancellor said private participation is essential for the growth of educational institutions.

Seshareddy said Aditya Degree Colleges were now top ranked in the state in both securing admission in PG courses and securing placements.

'Our aim is to provide placements to all our degree students by the time of their passing. The campus recruitment training cell will impart job orientated training to the students from the first year itself. Last year 1178 students got placements in various companies' he added.
