SDPI from human chain

Hundreds of men and women belonging to the Tiruchirapalli District unit of the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) led by their President K Mubarak Ali, Secretary S S Raghamathullah staged a human chain demonstration, by covering their faces with a mask of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, here today.
They also demanded immediate introduction of total prohibition in the state as the functioning of TASMAC run IMFL liquor shops severely affected the poor and downtrodden and working class.
SDPI State Secretary G Mohammed Sathar, Makkal Maiyam Coordinator A Kamaruddin, Popular Front of India's District President S Ameer Batch, National Women's Front District President Megaraj Banu and others spoke.
