Rahul faces protests on Amethi visit
Amethi, Uttar Pradesh, Sept 14 (IBNS)
Congress Genral Secretary Rahul Gandhi, who is on a two-day visit to his constituency Amethi in Uttar Pradesh, faced protests and demonstrations by some villagers who asked him to leave the place.
According to reports, villagers from Chachkapur village assembled outside the guest house where the Congress leader has been staying and rasied slogans against him.
The villagers asked him to leave Amethi.
Gandhi later invited the villagers for talks in an attempt to calm them down.
Earlier on Thursday, Gandhi faced protests from students of Government Girls Inter-College, who blocked the road Gandhi was scheduled to take to inaugurate a bank branch, on the first day of his visit to his constituency.
The protesters agitated against the lack of facilities in the college.
