Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) Tuesday extended last date to receive comments on a draft communications regulation to Sept 25, 2012.
Earlier, TRAI had invited comments of stakeholders on Draft regulation 'Standards of Quality of Service of Basic Telephone Service (Wireline) and Cellular Mobile Telephone Service (Second Amendment) Regulations, 2009 (7 Of 2009) on Financial Disincentives', and the last date for receiving comments was fixed as Sept 11, 2012.
According to reports, requests were received from stakeholders for extension of time for sending their comments.
In view of the importance of the issue, the Authority decided to extend the last date for submission of written comments by stakeholders until Sept 25, 2012.
TRAI stated, "Stakeholders are requested to submit their comments before this date preferably in electronic form to Advisor (QoS),Telecom Regulatory Authority of India Shri A. Robert J. Ravi."
