Ready to face CBI inquiry: Maharashtra Min

A day after CBI filed an FIR against the Darda brothers for their alleged involvement in coal scam, Maharashtra Education Minister Rajendra Darda today said he was ready to share all information about allocation of coal blocks to their company with the central agency if called for questioning.

'If CBI officers call me for the inquiry about his involvement in coal scam, I will give all the necessary information to the CBI,' he told mediapersons here.

He was in the city for an awards function orgnised to felicitate teachers on the occasion of the Teachers Day today.

He added that he came to know from the media about the CBI having filed the first information report against him, his brother and MP Vijay Darda and the latter's son Devendra.

The BJP workers staged a 'dharna' near Kavi Kalidas Kala Mandir and demanded the resignation of the Education Minister for his alleged involvement in coal scam.
