Free ration in areas affected by sea erosion: Kerala CM
The Kerala government will provide free ration to the people in coastal areas affected by sea erosion.
Briefing on Cabinet decisions here, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said free ration would be given to the people of Ambalappuzha, Arattupuzha, Purakkad and Ponnani as people in those areas were affected by sea erosion.
Sea wall would be constructed at Valiyazeekal in Arattupuzha in two stretches at a cost of Rs 2.2 crore and 80 lakh respectively.
It would be constructed at Purakkad also for which Rs 3.5 crore had been sanctioned, he said.
