Rajasthan: heavy rains kill 9 in 24 hours

As many as nine people were killed in rain-related incidents in the north Indian state of Rajasthan in the past 24 hours, media reports said on Wednesday.

Five people were killed in Ajmer district, reports said.

Several low-lying areas in the Ajmer and Alwar districts are facing flood-like situation.

The water level of the e Anasagar lake has crossed the danger mark due to heavy rainfall.

The Jaipur met office has predicted that heavy rainfall will take place in 13 districts of the north Indian state in the next 36 hours.
